Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.
A number of civilians were injured while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.
At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.
Moscow has increased attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.
"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.
Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.
A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.
Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.
Local officials said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.
The strikes follow nights of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.
The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.
